Prof. Lawrencia Louise Brown, Education Domain Lead Chair
Prof. Lawrencia Louise “Lou” Brown led within PharmAlliance long before she formally joined the Education Domain leadership team in the 2020-2021 academic year. She first served in the UCL Education Domain Deputy Chair role before stepping into the Chair role in 2022-2023. We are proud to announce that she has taken the reins of the Education Domain for PharmAlliance, and now acts as Education Domain Lead Chair!

We would like to thank Prof. Paul White for his many years of service as the Education Domain Lead Chair. We are grateful that he will remain on the Monash Education Domain leadership team to continue supporting educational efforts within the Partnership.

Dr. Delesha Carpenter, UNC Research Domain Co-Deputy Chair
Dr. Delesha “Lesha” Carpenter has joined the PharmAlliance Leadership Team as UNC Research Domain Co-Deputy Chair! Dr. Carpenter has previously engaged with PharmAlliance as a speaker, visiting scholar, grant recipient. Dr. Carpenter is an associate professor and Executive Vice Chair in the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Her work focuses on improving patient-provider communication about sensitive issues, overcoming barriers to pharmacists delivering harm reduction services, and improving inhaler technique in children and adolescents.

Dr. Sarah Merritt, UNC Student Domain Deputy Chair
Dr. Sarah Merritt, (née Dascanio) has joined the PharmAlliance Leadership team as UNC Student Domain Deputy Chair!  Dr. Merritt first interacted with PharmAlliance as the 2018-2020 Global Engagement Fellow at UNC. During her time as a fellow she co-developed the PharmAlliance Global Leaders in Development (GLIDE) module alongside Drs. David Steeb, Andreia Bruno-Tomé, Ms. Oksana Pyzik, and Prof. Ian Bates. She now serves as UNC’s Global Program Education Coordinator. Her work focuses on global program development and assessing the impacts of global health experiences for pharmacy students.
